Introduction
Assalam-o-Alaikum! Sirat-ul-Iman ke is safar mein hum Quran-e-Kareem ki hidayat ko samajhne ki koshish kar rahe hain. Pichli post mein humne Ayat 55 tak parha tha. Aaj ki is post mein hum Surah Al-Baqarah ki Ayat 56 se 65 tak ka mutala karenge, jin mein Allah Ta'ala ne Bani Israel par apne fazl aur unki na-farmaniyon ka zikr farmaya hai. Aiye in ayaton ke tarjume aur mufahoom ko samajhte hain.
In this journey of Sirat-ul-Iman, we are trying to understand the guidance of the Holy Qur’an. In the previous post, we studied up to Ayat 55. In today’s post, we will reflect on Surah Al-Baqarah from Ayat 56 to 65, in which Allah Almighty mentions His favors upon Bani Israel and their acts of disobedience. Let us explore the translation and deeper meaning of these verses together.

Ayat 56
Phir tumhari maut ke baad hum ne tumhein zinda kar uthaya taake tum shukr guzari karo.
Ayat 57
Aur Hum ne tum par baadal ka saya kiya aur tum par Mann-o-Salwa utara (aur kaha ke) hamari di hui pakiza cheezein khao. Aur unhon ne hamara kuch nahi bigara balkay wo apna hi nuqsan karte thay.
And We shaded you with clouds and sent down to you Mann and Salwa, (saying), "Eat of the good things with which We have provided you." And they wronged Us not - but they were [only] wronging themselves.
Ayat 58
Aur jab Hum ne kaha ke is basti mein dakhil ho jao aur jahan se chaho ba-faraghat khao, aur darwaze mein sajda karte hue dakhil hona aur "Hittatun" kehna, Hum tumhari khatayen maaf kar denge aur neki karne walon ko mazeed denge.
And [recall] when We said, "Enter this city and eat from it wherever you will in [ease and] abundance, and enter the gate bowing humbly and say, 'Relieve us of our burdens.' We will [then] forgive your sins for you, and We will increase the doers of good [in reward]."
Ayat 59
But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.
Ayat 60
Aur jab Musa (A.S) ne apni qaum ke liye pani manga to Hum ne kaha ke apna asa pathar par maro, to us se bara chashme phoot nikle, aur har giroh ne apna ghat maloom kar liya.
And [recall] when Moses prayed for water for his people, so We said, "Strike with your staff the stone." And there gushed forth from it twelve springs, and every people knew its watering place. "Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
Ayat 61
Aur jab tum ne kaha: ‘Ay Musa! Hum aik hi qisam ke khane par sabr nahi kar sakte, to apne Rab se dua karo ke hamare liye zameen se jo ugta hai nikal de: sabzi, kakri, lehsan, masoor aur pyaaz.’ Musa ne kaha: ‘Kya tum behtar cheez ko ghatiya cheez se badalna chahte ho? Shehar mein utar jao, wahan tumhein woh sab kuch mil jayega jo tum maang rahe ho.’ Yeh is liye hua ke woh Allah ki aayaat ka inkar karte the aur nabiyon ko na-haq qatl karte the. Yeh is liye ke woh nafarmaani karte the aur had se barhte the.”
“And [remember] when you said, ‘O Moses, we cannot endure one kind of food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions.’ He said, ‘Would you exchange what is better for what is lower? Go into a city, and you will have what you ask.’ And humiliation and poverty were struck upon them, and they returned with anger from Allah. That was because they disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets unjustly. That was because they disobeyed and were transgressing.”
Ayat 62
Yaqeenan jo log iman laye, aur jo Yahudi hue, aur Nasara aur Sabi, jo bhi Allah aur roz-e-akhirat par iman laye aur nek amal kare, unka ajar unke Rubb ke paas hai.
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans - those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord.
Ayat 63
“Aur (yaad karo) jab hum ne tum se pakka ahad liya aur Tumhaare upar Toor (pahaڑ) ko utha diya (aur kaha): ‘Jo kuch hum ne tumhein diya hai use mazbooti se thaam lo aur jo is mein hai usay yaad rakho, taake tum parhezgaar ban jao.’”
And [recall] when We took your covenant and raised over you the Mount, [saying], ‘Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you might become righteous.’”
Ayat 64
Magar tum is ke baad bhi phir gaye, pas agar Allah ka fazl aur uski rehmat tum par na hoti to tum sakht nuqsan uthane walon mein se hote.
Then you turned away after that. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have been among the losers.
Ayat 65
Aur tum un logon ko khub jante ho jo tum mein se "Sabt" (Hafte) ke din hadd se nikal gaye thay, to Hum ne unhein kaha ke zaleel-o-khwar bandar ban jao.
And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath, and We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
🌿 Tafseer-e-Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 56–65)
Humein apne aakhri Rasool, Khatam-an-Nabiyeen ﷺ ki poori ita’at karni chahiye. Allah farmata hai:
“Jis ne mere mehboob ki ita’at ki, us ne meri ita’at ki.”
Is ayat se yeh bhi sabit hota hai ke Allah har cheez par qadir hai. Jis tarah Allah ne Bani Israel ko zinda kiya, isi tarah humein bhi maut ke baad dobara zinda karega. Is liye aakhirat par yaqeen rakhna bohat zaroori hai.
Iman ko mukammal karne ke liye in 5 cheezon par iman zaroori hai:
Allah par iman
Farishton par iman
Asmani kitaabon par iman
Rasoolon par iman
Aakhirat ke din par iman
Is liye hamesha apna iman mazboot rakhna chahiye.
Na-shukri insaan ko tabaah kar deti hai, jab ke shukar insaan ko kamyabi deta hai.
3. 🔹 Basti mein Dakhla aur “Hittatun” (Ayat 58–59)
Allah ne hukm diya ke ek basti (Bait-ul-Muqaddas) mein jhuk kar dakhil ho aur “Hittatun” (Ya Allah, hamein maaf farma) kaho. Magar unhon ne mazaq banaya aur lafz badal diye, jis par unpar azab nazil hua.Is se humein sabaq milta hai ke Allah ke hukam ka mazaq banana bohat bara jurm hai. Allah ne humein bhi namaz aur istighfar ka hukam diya hai.
Gunahgaar hum sab hain, lekin agar maafi maangi jaye to Allah bohat Rehman hai.
Duniya aur aakhirat dono ki kamyabi sajday mein hai.
Us pathar se 12 chashmay phoot niklay — har qabeelay ke liye aik.Yeh Allah ki qudrat ka azeem mojiza hai. Allah har mojiza karne par qadir hai. Humein sirf is qabil hona chahiye ke Allah hum par bhi apni rehmat zahir kare.
5. 🔹 Sabziyon ka Mutalaba aur Zillat (Ayat 61)
Bani Israel ne Mann-o-Salwa chhor kar zameeni sabziyon ka mutalaba kiya. Hazrat Musa (A.S) ne farmaya ke tum behtar cheez ke badle adna cheez maang rahe ho.Is zid aur na-farmani ki wajah se unpar zillat aur mohtaji musallat kar di gayi.
Is se humein yeh bhi sabaq milta hai ke jab hum koi dua maangte hain aur woh qabool nahi hoti, to iska matlab yeh nahi ke Allah sunta nahi. Balkay kabhi woh cheez hamare liye behtar nahi hoti ya us ka waqt nahi aaya hota.
Allah se yun maanga karein:
“Ya Allah, agar yeh cheez mere liye behtar hai to afiyat ke sath ata farma, aur agar behtar nahi to is ki chahat mere dil se nikaal de.”
Jo duayein duniya mein qabool nahi hotin, woh aakhirat mein is qadar khoobsurat badlay ke sath milengi ke hum kahenge: kaash duniya mein koi dua qabool hi na hoti.
6. 🔹 Iman ki Shart (Ayat 62)
Allah ne wazeh farmaya ke jo bhi Allah aur Qayamat par sacha iman laaye aur nek amal kare — chahe woh Yahudi ho, Nasrani ho ya Sabi — us ka ajar Allah ke paas mehfooz hai.Allah ke nazdeek rang, nasal aur zaat ki koi ahmiyat nahi. Kamyab wahi hai jo Allah, us ke Rasool ﷺ, Sahaba, Auliya aur Ahl-e-Bait ke raaste par chale aur nek amal kare.
Is liye hamesha apna wada poora karna chahiye.
8. 🔹 Hafte (Sabt) ka Din aur Bandar Banna (Ayat 65)
Tafseer of the Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 56–65)
1. Life After Death
When the Children of Israel demanded to see Allah with their own eyes, they were struck by lightning and died. However, Allah brought them back to life so they could be grateful. These verses show that disrespecting Prophets leads to destruction. We must always respect all Messengers, especially our Last Prophet ﷺ, as obeying him is obeying Allah. This also proves that Allah is All-Powerful and will revive us for the Day of Judgment, making faith in the Hereafter essential.2. Blessings in the Desert (Verse 57)
While in the wilderness, Allah provided clouds for shade and Mann-o-Salwa for food. Yet, they remained ungrateful. Look how Merciful Allah is! Ungratefulness leads to destruction, while gratitude brings success. It is not wrong to ask Allah for more, but we must never be unthankful for what He provides.3. Entry into the City and "Hittatun" (Verses 58-59)
Allah commanded them to enter the city bowing in humility and saying "Hittatun" (forgive us). Instead, they mocked the command and changed the word to "Hinta" (wheat), inviting Allah’s punishment. Success in both worlds lies in prostration (Sajdah) and seeking forgiveness, just as we are commanded to offer Salah and repentance.4. The Twelve Springs (Verse 60)
When Prophet Musa (A.S) prayed for water, Allah commanded him to strike a rock, and twelve springs gushed forth. This miracle proves that Allah has power over everything. We must strive to become worthy of His special miracles in our lives.5. Demanding Inferior Things (Verse 61)
The Children of Israel preferred ordinary vegetables over heavenly food. Their stubbornness and disobedience led to humiliation. We should not be stubborn about our wishes; Allah is the Best Planner and knows what is best for us. Prayers not answered here will be granted in the Hereafter in an even more beautiful way.6. Criteria for Success (Verse 62)
Allah clarifies that whoever truly believes in Him and the Last Day and performs righteous deeds will have their reward. Allah does not look at status or color; true success is following the path of the Messengers, Sahaba, and the family of the Prophet ﷺ.7. The Covenant at Mount Toor (Verses 63-64)
Allah took a solemn promise from them at Mount Toor to follow the Torah, but they turned away. Allah dislikes those who break promises, so we must always honor our commitments.8. Disobedience and Transformation (Verse 65)
They were forbidden from fishing on the Sabbath but used tricks to break the law. As punishment, they were transformed into apes. We must stay within the boundaries set by Allah, as His commands carry wisdom that our limited intellect may not fully perceive.KET POINTS
Shukr-guzari ki Ahmiyat:
Allah Ta'ala mushkil ke baad asani deta hai aur maut jaisi halat se nikal kar zindagi bakhshta hai taake hum Uska shukr ada karein.
The Importance of Gratitude:
Allah grants ease after hardships and gives life after death so that we may recognize His favors and remain grateful to Him.Valuing Allah's Blessings:
The Children of Israel were provided with Mann and Salwa without any effort, but their ungratefulness led them into trouble. We should always be content and thankful for what Allah provides.Obedience to Divine Commands:
Changing Allah’s commands to suit our own desires (like changing the word "Hittatun" to "Hinta") invites His displeasure and punishment.Avoiding Corruption:
We are encouraged to enjoy the lawful provisions of Allah but strictly forbidden from spreading mischief and corruption on earth.Dunya vs. Deen:
Exchanging what is better (spiritual guidance and heavenly rewards) for what is inferior (temporary worldly pleasures) leads to humiliation.Fulfilling Covenants:
Holding firmly to the promises and covenants made with Allah is the true path to becoming righteous (Muttaqi). The Consequence of Deception:
Trying to bypass religious laws through tricks or excuses (like the violation of the Sabbath) leads to severe consequences and the loss of Allah’s mercy.DILL KI BAAT 💓
Doston, Surah Al-Baqarah ki in ayaton ko parhte hue mera dil is baat ki gawahi deta hai ke Allah kitna Raheem hai. Wo baar baar gunah karne par bhi darwaza band nahi karta, balkay hidayat aur rizq ke naye raaste kholta hai. Bani Israel ke waqiat sirf purani kahaniyan nahi hain, balkay hamare liye aaina hain.Zindagi Badal Dene Wala Wazifa:
Agar aapki life disturbed hai, rizq mein barkat nahi, sehat ka masla hai, rishte nahi ho rahe ya koi bhi pareshani hai, to mere paas aapke liye ek azmuda hal hai. Agar aap ise sachay dil se karein to kamyabi na milne ka sawal hi paida nahi hota.Wazifa:
Kaise Parhein:
Niyat:
Maine ye wazifa apni zindagi mein khud azmaya hai aur Alhamdulillah, meri life puri tarah transform ho gayi hai. Bas shart ye hai ke ise chorna nahi hai. InshaAllah, ek mahine ke andar hi aapko tabdeeli nazar aane lagegi.
Hum aksar apni duayon ke qabool na hone par naraz ho jate hain, magar hum bhool jate hain ke wo 'Rab' hamare liye behtareen faisla karne wala hai. Aaj humein apne iman ko mazboot karne ki zaroorat hai—Allah par, Uske farishton par, kitabon par, Rasoolon par aur Akhirat par. Kamyabi kisi lalach mein nahi, balkay Allah ke samne sar jhukane aur Uske pyaare Nabi ﷺ ki itaat mein hai. Allah hum sab ka khatma Iman par kare. Ameen."
A Message from My Heart 💓
"Friends, as I reflect on these verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, my heart bears witness to how Merciful Allah truly is. Despite our repeated sins, He never closes the door of mercy; instead, He opens new paths for guidance and sustenance. The stories of the Children of Israel are not just ancient tales; they are a mirror for us.A Life-Transforming Practice (Wazifa):
If your life is disturbed for any reason—whether it's lack of sustenance (Rizq), health issues, delays in marriage, or any other struggle—I have a powerful solution for you. If you practice this with sincerity, success is guaranteed. The Practice:
How to Recite:
The Intention:
I have personally implemented this in my own life, and Alhamdulillah, my life has been positively transformed. The key is consistency. Do not expect magic in just one week; continue it for one to three months. You will start noticing a beautiful change within just one month.
We often get upset when our prayers aren't answered immediately, forgetting that our Lord is the Best Planner. Today, we need to strengthen our faith—in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Hereafter. Success is not found in greed or deception, but in bowing before Allah and following the path of His Beloved Prophet ﷺ. May Allah grant us a departure from this world with firm faith (Iman). Ameen."
